Come Celebrate with Us!
Saturday, September 18th, 2021
6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Great Divide Brewing Co
3403 Brighton Blvd, Denver, CO 80216Casual - come as you are! Dress for the weather (layers encouraged). We want you to be comfortable and have fun!
The Venue
Located in West RiNo (River North), Great Divide Barrel Bar is a larger outpost of one of Colorado’s most popular breweries. We decided to check out this space because of Luke’s affinity for craft beer (the secret reason he moved to Colorado) and Ursula’s determination to find a fun and casual environment. Great Divide is a perfect marriage of the two (pun absolutely intended). We will be dining and dancing the night away in the warehouse adjoining the brewing facility. Take advantage of the balcony upstairs to get a full appreciation of the space.
For those of you who do not drink beer, rest assured we will have other alcoholic and alcohol-free options. For those of you who are not familiar with the craft-brewing scene, this is a great opportunity to try a variety of styles! One word of caution: pay attention to the ABV (alcohol by volume)—some craft beers can be pretty strong! We recommend drinking beers around 5-6% ABV if you want to last through the evening, but definitely try something stronger, as these tend to be the more creative (and delicious) styles.
The Food
Mountain Crust Catering is one of the coolest and most original concepts. Far from being a snooty venture with tuxedoed servers, the folks at Mountain Crust operate out of a mobile kitchen: a wood-fire oven in a vintage pick-up truck! In addition to fully customizable pies, you will also enjoy passed appetizers and salad. They are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friendly, so everyone will find something to enjoy!
Food will be served outside on the back patio (weather permitting), so get out there and enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather! One more thing: sunset is around 7:00 in September and there is a spectacular view from the venue.
Travel & Accommodations
Located directly across the street from Great Divide, The Source Hotel is a great place to stay if you want a short walk to and from the venue. The hotel is also connected to the Source Market Hall, which houses shops, restaurants, and a brewery.
It's also right next to the 38th & Blake Street light rail station for the A-Line, which will get you to and from Denver International Airport in about 30 minutes. We've reserved a small room block here, so use the "Book a Room" button to reserve a room using our special rate.
Book a RoomStaying Downtown
If you don't want to stay at The Source, the venue is also super close to downtown Denver so we recommend checking out other hotels in that area. If you're new to Denver, Union Station is a good landmark to use as the center for your hotel search. Union Station is Denver's main transit hub and is the last stop on the train to and from Denver International Airport.
Union Station has a number of hotels in the immediate vicinity, but you'll also see a lot of options further south and east of the station (closer to the Denver Convention Center). These are all great options as well and sometimes tend to be a little cheaper than the hotels near the station. If you decide to stay in one of these, there's a free shuttle that runs up and down 16th Street connecting Union Station with the rest of downtown. The shuttle is a great (and free!) way to get from the train to your hotel.
Gift Registry
Many of our friends and family have asked for gift suggestions. As we already have many items to start off our new lives together, we've created a Honeyfund if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon. We also have a limited registry on Amazon.
